The Chance

We are seeking a Purchasing Coordinator for our Scarborough location on a 6‑month contract. The role offers potential for future progression and reports to the Sr. Procurement Manager.

What You’ll Do

- Works closely with Buyers during every phase of the purchasing process
- Prepares requisitions for required needs of the specific business
- Generates purchase orders to replenish approved products ensuring maximum cost effectiveness and excellent customer fill rates
- Maintains vendor files as they relate to cost, quantity, quality and specifications
- Supports management of quality and on‑time delivery expectations
- Works closely with company locations for product requirements and inventory control
- Investigates and follows up on invoicing issues and/or shipping delays
- Ensures the execution of corrective action under his/her responsibilities
- Supports company best practices in purchasing
- Supports all Purchasing Actions (Reporting and validation)

What You Bring





- Post‑secondary education or equivalent experience
- 1+ years purchasing experience preferably in a manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of business practices relating to the purchase, price, terms, shipment, taxes and payment for commodities and services
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and written
- Ability to work cooperatively with internal customers, vendors, and management
- Computer proficiency and good working knowledge of MS Office
- Must be able to multitask and work with tight timelines

Hiring Range: $52,319 – $65,399 per year. A candidate’s experience and knowledge may be factored into the pay a candidate receives for this position. This posting is for an existing vacancy.
