Position Summary

The Life Skills and Wellness Coach supports individuals in building the practical skills, healthy routines, confidence, and self-awareness needed to improve daily living and overall well-being. This role combines life skills education, wellness coaching, and individualized support to help participants set goals, overcome barriers, and make meaningful progress toward greater independence and personal growth.

Key Responsibilities

- Facilitate individual and group sessions focused on life skills, wellness, and personal development.
- Teach practical skills such as goal setting, communication, time management, problem-solving, emotional regulation, healthy routines, and personal responsibility.
- Complete participant assessments and help develop realistic, individualized plans based on needs, strengths, and goals.
- Provide one-on-one coaching, encouragement, motivation, and accountability.
- Support participants in identifying barriers and developing practical strategies for success.
- Prepare lesson plans, activities,



and educational materials that match participant needs and abilities.
- Facilitate wellness education related to nutrition awareness, stress management, self-care, sleep hygiene, and lifestyle habits.
- Monitor participant progress and maintain accurate, timely, and confidential documentation.
- Collaborate with team members and other supports to strengthen participant outcomes.
- Maintain qualified boundaries, confidentiality, and adherence to organizational policies and safety standards.

Qualifications

- Education, training, or experience in coaching, wellness, education, social services, psychology, human services, nursing, or a related field is an asset.
- Experience facilitating groups, coaching individuals, mentoring, or teaching is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills.
