The Casual Pharmacist will provide pharmacy services and support to customers, medical practitioners and other retail pharmacies, working shifts assigned by the Relief Coordinator. Responsibilities include delivering patient‑focused care, ensuring high safety standards, managing workflow efficiencies, and providing professional clinical services. The role also fosters a positive and productive work environment.

Here’s where you’ll be focusing:

- Focus on clinical services such as disease‑state management, medication reviews, and health risk assessments
- Prioritize prescription safety and support Pharmacy Assistants when available
- Initiate care plans, follow up, and document patient information
- Coach pharmacy students and Pharmacy Assistants (if applicable)
- Collect relevant patient, drug, and disease information
- Identify actual and potential drug‑related problems
- Monitor medication adherence
- Provide patient counselling for new therapy and assess patient understanding of medication use
- Tailor counselling to the patient’s literacy, hearing, privacy, and other concerns
- Acknowledge customers promptly and professionally
- Demonstrate warmth, empathy, and compassion toward customers
- Provide superior customer service to every customer

- Above average communication skills (both oral and written)

Education and Experience:

- Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from a recognized institution
- Licensed Pharmacist in the province of responsibility
- Previous experience in a retail and/or retail pharmacy setting is preferred
