Your New Role

As the Commercial Property Accountant, you will play an integral role in managing the financial reporting and accounting activities for a portfolio of commercial real estate assets.

Working closely with Property Management, Asset Management, Leasing, Development, and Finance teams, you will prepare monthly financial statements, complete month-end reporting, monitor property performance, and provide financial insights that support operational decision‑making.

You will be responsible for maintaining accurate accounting records, preparing CAM reconciliations, reviewing lease documentation, monitoring tenant recoveries, supporting budgeting and forecasting activities,



and ensuring the integrity of financial reporting across your portfolio.

Beyond traditional property accounting, you will have the opportunity to participate in process improvement initiatives, system enhancements, and portfolio integration projects while gaining exposure to a broad range of commercial real estate asset classes.

What Sets You Apart

You are a proactive and detail‑oriented accounting professional who enjoys both the technical and analytical aspects of commercial property accounting. You bring approximately two to five years of accounting experience, ideally within commercial real estate, and have experience supporting office, retail, industrial, or mixed‑use property portfolios.

You are comfortable managing month‑end close activities, preparing financial statements, performing reconciliations, handling tenant recoveries, and performing lease‑related accounting, while also partnering with operational stakeholders to understand the story behind the numbers.

You possess strong Excel skills and experience working with property management accounting systems such as Yardi Voyager, MRI, JD Edwards, Sage, or similar platforms. Experience with CAM reconciliations,



lease accounting, and tenant recoveries would be considered a strong asset.

Most importantly, you are collaborative, curious, and eager to contribute in a fast‑paced, growth‑oriented environment that values initiative, accountability, and continuous improvement.
