Description

Snowmakers provide an outstanding experience for guests by supplementing the resort’s abundant natural snowfall with additional coverage. The role focuses on safety, efficiency, and works continuously through peak artificial snow creation times during the early winter season. Snow Makers work under the direction of the Snowmaking Supervisor and Mountain Operations Manager, and work closely with the Mountain Operations, Maintenance, and all outdoor departments.

Essential Functions





- The primary responsibility of this role is carrying out the safe and efficient operation of snowmaking at the Resort, including monitoring, maintaining, and using equipment in accordance with department policies and procedures, manufacturer’s specifications, and direction from the Supervisory team.
- Communicating effectively via radio.
- Acquiring a comprehensive knowledge of Resort areas which may be required to carry out snowmaking.
- Monitoring safety communication, closures, signage, lines, when snowmaking equipment is placed and operating.
- Timely and accurate reporting of all safety hazards, incidents, and deficiencies to appropriate personnel.
- Recording requested data (temperatures, water flow, etc.) from snowmaking operations.
