What does success look like in this role? As a Finance Analyst, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the financial health and operational excellence of RAVL by owning day‑to‑day accounting operations and supporting accurate financial reporting. Reporting to the Director of Finance, you’ll help strengthen our internal finance function while building scalable processes that support our continued growth.

You’ll be responsible for:

Managing the full accounting cycle, including bookkeeping, journal entries, account reconciliations, and month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end close activities

Maintaining the general ledger and ensuring financial transactions are recorded accurately and on time

Processing accounts payable, managing vendor relationships, and reconciling AP subledgers

Managing accounts receivable, customer invoicing, payment application, collections, and AR aging

Performing bank reconciliations, monitoring cash positions, and identifying discrepancies or variances

Supporting HST/GST filings, payroll reconciliations, and other regulatory reporting requirements

Assisting with year‑end audit preparation and collaborating with external auditors

Helping design, document, and continuously improve accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls

Maintaining and improving the chart of accounts to support accurate financial reporting

Contributing ideas that improve efficiency, automation, and financial processes as RAVL continues to scale

but do my skills fit?

Post‑secondary education in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline

3+ years of full‑cycle accounting experience, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and month‑end close

Experience using modern accounting software such as QuickBooks Online, Xero, NetSuite, or similar ERP/accounting platforms

Strong Microsoft Excel skills and comfort working with financial data

Excellent attention to detail with a high level of accuracy

Strong organizational and time‑management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in a remote‑first environment

The ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across teams

Nice to have skills:

CPA designation or active pursuit of a CPA designation

Experience supporting a startup, scale‑up, or growing organization

Experience with multi‑currency accounting or SaaS billing models

Familiarity with expense management platforms such as Expensify, Ramp, or Brex

Experience helping implement or improve accounting systems and internal controls

Previous experience working in a fully remote organization

Compensation & Hiring Process This is a

current opening . The salary range for this role is

$75,000‑$85,000 CAD , reflecting expected base pay. Total compensation may also include additional pay such as bonuses or incentives, depending on the position, and final offers are based on experience, skills, and qualifications.
