We are seeking a Full Time skilled and experienced Construction Manager to join our team in Saskatoon, SK.
SUMMARY OF POSITION
Reporting to the Senior VP, the Construction Manager is responsible for planning construction projects and overseeing their progress from start to finish in a timely and cost-effective manner. Key responsibilities will include budgeting, organization, implementation, and scheduling of the projects, while collaborating closely with various stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
Specific duties include but are not limited to:
- Oversee and manage construction projects from conception to completion.
- Review the project in-depth to schedule deliverables and estimate costs.
- Oversee all onsite and offsite constructions to monitor compliance with building and safety regulations.
- Meet contractual conditions of performance.
- Review the work progress on daily basis.
- Prepare internal and external reports pertaining to job status.
- Plan to prevent problems and resolve any emerging ones.
- Negotiate terms of agreements, draft contracts and obtain permits and licenses.
- Analyze, manage, and mitigate risks.
- Ensure quality construction standards through QA-QC and the use of proper construction techniques.
- Provide mentorship and leadership to the project team.
- Demonstrate leadership in and promote awareness of Wright Construction’s policies and procedures.
- All other duties as required.
Requirements:
- Architectural Technology Diploma, Engineering Degree, or equivalent.
- A minimum of 15 years experience in commercial, industrial, and/or institutional construction.
- Knowledge of all phases of building construction.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
