Embark on your welding journey as a 1st Year Welder Apprentice at Silent-Aire. This position emphasizes fabrication skills in a quick-paced environment using MIG, ARC, and TIG techniques.
In this role, you'll learn under the guidance of skilled Journeyperson Welders while contributing to the production of custom prototypes and parts. You will read blueprints, operate welding equipment, and ensure the quality and accuracy of work completed. Adhering to safety regulations and continuous improvement will be essential to your success.
Key Responsibilities:
• Read and review welding process specifications
• Operate manual and semi-automatic welding equipment
• Fabricate jigs and fixtures for custom parts
• Conduct inspections and repairs on metal products
• Keep accurate records of tasks performed
Requirements:
• Registered as an Apprentice Welder in Alberta
• Certification in Gas Metal Arc and Shielded Metal Arc Welding
• Experience in maintenance operations preferred
• Excellent communication skills under pressure
• Physically able to lift and carry materials
