SALARY: $22.83 per hour + 14% in lieu of advantages = $26.02 per hour!

HOURS OF WORK:
Variable schedule of 1-5 days per week, Monday to Friday from 1:30PM to 3:30PM for the school year (September to June). Opportunities to work additional hours in program as a leader exists, if desired.

Position Overview
We're looking for up to three dedicated, passionate, and energetic individuals to join our Afterschool Care team as a CLASS 4* Unrestricted Bus Driver SUB. Join us in contributing to a high-quality program that supports children and families of the Westshore. We offer flexible work schedules and opportunities to cross‑train and work in other areas, if desired.
In addition to great wages, employees receive access to counselling and a staff facility pass which provides drop‑in use of the weightroom, fitness classes, skating, the pool and our 9‑hole golf course.
Job Duties and Accountabilities
- Drive a 24‑passenger bus to pick up children in the Westshore after school each day and bring them back on‑site to the JDF recreation centre.
- Adapt to new and changing programs and people.
- Problem‑solve and seek solutions.
- Communicate clearly and organize efficiently.
- Provide excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Work independently and as part of a team.
Qualifications
- CLASS 4* Unrestricted Drivers’ Licence is required.
- Minimum age of 19, as required by the licensed care program.
- Current Emergency First Aid and CPR C/AED certification is required.
- Skills, knowledge, and experience driving buses.
- Experience working with children is an asset.
A clear and current criminal record check is a condition of employment (employer‑initiated) and is the financial responsibility of the successful candidate.
