Job Title: Temporary Full-time Security Guard – Maryvale

Employment Type: Full‑time, Temporary until 9/30/2026 at earliest.

Location: Maryvale Children’s Mental Health Treatment Center, 3640 Wells St., Windsor, ON.

Pay Rate: $22.18 per hour.

Site Description

Maryvale is a longstanding children’s mental health treatment centre in Windsor, Ontario, providing specialized care and support for youth and families. The campus‑style environment focuses on safety, wellbeing, privacy, and compassionate community‑based services.

Key Responsibilities

- Patrol campus grounds, including parking areas, hallways, patient rooms, entrances, and exits to ensure safety and security.
- Inspect and screen bags or cargo using equipment or hands.
- Perform searches of passengers with tools or by hand.
- Monitor and screen passengers through screening checkpoints and other procedures.
- Provide customer service by greeting and assisting visitors, patients, and staff, and ensuring guests adhere to policies and procedures.
- Resolve conflicts by de‑escalating tense situations in a calm and professional manner.
- Write reports documenting daily activities, incidents, or accidents accurately.
- Collaborate with centre staff and local law enforcement to coordinate security efforts and ensure safety of all parties.
- Enforce policies,



including visitor and patient protocols, and address violations in line with hospital safety standards.

Prerequisites

- Valid security license for the province of Ontario.
- Valid First Aid & CPR – Level C (from a WSIB‑approved vendor).
- At least 1 year of relevant security experience.
- Fluency in English (oral and written).
- Certifications in Use of Force (UOF) and Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB). Applicants without these certifications may consent to Paladin’s UOF/MOAB training before onboarding.
- Authorized to legally work in Canada.
