This opportunity arises due to a current vacancy and offers long-term stability for the right candidate.Position OverviewThe firm is looking for a highly organized and experienced Senior Law Clerk with a strong background in Plaintiff Personal Injury Tort Law. The successful candidate will manage files from commencement through trial, work closely with counsel, and act as a key point of contact for clients, opposing counsel, and third parties.This role requires minimal supervision, strong drafting abilities, and the capacity to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced litigation environment. Some exposure to Accident Benefits matters is an asset.Key ResponsibilitiesFile Management & Client ServiceHandle client inquiries and correspondence in a qualified and timely mannerOrganize, maintain, and advance client files to ensure all deadlines are metLiaise with opposing counsel, insurers, and third partiesLitigation SupportDraft and prepare pleadings and legal documents,



including Statements of Claim, Notices of Motion, and Affidavits of DocumentsPrepare and maintain undertakings and refusals chartsObtain and manage productions from opposing counsel and third partiesReview, organize, and summarize medical records and other documentary evidenceMediation, Pre-Trial & Trial PreparationAssist with mediation, pre-trial, and trial preparationIssue and serve Summonses to WitnessPrepare trial briefs and supporting materialsGeneralPerform additional duties as assigned to support the litigation teamQualificationsMinimum 8 years of experience in Plaintiff Personal Injury Tort LawSome knowledge of Accident Benefits matters considered an assetStrong working knowledge of the Rules of Civil ProcedurePrimafact experience preferred, but not requiredSuperior drafting and document preparation skillsExcellent written and oral communication skillsStrong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and multitaskAbility to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as collaboratively in a team environmentStrong computer proficiency, including the MS Office SuitePositive, professional, and proactive work attitudeAdditional InformationThis role requires in office attendance two days per week, subject to change in the futureArtificial Intelligence (AI) may be used to screen, assess, and assist in the selection of applicants as part of the hiring process
