Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Painter role based in Halifax, NS. The Painter is responsible for preparing interior and exterior surfaces, including cleaning, sanding, patching, taping, and priming to ensure high-quality finishes. Day-to-day tasks include applying paint and coatings using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment, setting up and protecting job sites, and maintaining tools and equipment. The role involves working in a team, following project timelines and safety procedures, and ensuring each job meets company standards for cleanliness, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.



Painters may also interact with clients on-site, answer basic questions, and contribute to a positive, professional work setting.

Qualifications

- Experience working with paint products and basic knowledge of paint properties and application techniques.
- Practical skills in Painting and Decorating, including surface preparation and finishing for residential and commercial projects.
- Knowledge of coatings and their appropriate use on different substrates and environments.
- Hands-on experience with Painting and Spray Painting, including secure and accurate use of spray equipment.
- Ability to follow safety guidelines, handle ladders and equipment, and perform physically demanding tasks for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail, commitment to clean work practices, and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Reliable transportation to job sites in Halifax, NS, and flexibility to work varying schedules as needed.
- Previous skilled painting experience or relevant trade experience is an asset; apprenticeship or training in painting trades is beneficial.
