Role Overview

As Principal AI Platform Engineer, you will design and own the strategic roadmap for the enterprise AI platform, including core technical architecture that powers AI capabilities across the organization.You will lead engineering of critical platforms, manage a network of world‑class vendors and partners, perform feasibility studies on emerging AI trends, and accelerate practical adoption of AI tools.

Responsibilities

- Architect and own the strategic roadmap for the enterprise AI platform.
- Design the core technical architecture that powers Aritzia’s AI capabilities.
- Lead engineering of critical platforms, including robust development environments and agentic orchestration frameworks.
- Build and manage a network of world‑class technology vendors and partners, ensuring the ecosystem is innovative, scalable and aligned with business goals.
- Perform feasibility studies on emerging AI trends and collaborate with internal/external experts to accelerate advanced, practical adoption.
- Establish guardrails, model observability, Drift detection, and autonomy limits for agentic systems.
- Design monitoring frameworks to ensure responsible, ethical, resilient, and brand‑aligned AI usage.
- Foster enterprise‑wide AI literacy and support a culture of continuous learning.

Qualifications

- Deep architectural expertise in enterprise cloud AI ecosystems (e.g., Azure AI Studio, AWS Bedrock, Google Cloud Vertex AI).




- Experience with MLOps/LLMOps, AI guardrails, and model observability.
- Proficiency in cognitive search, RAG, multi‑modal visual embeddings, and enterprise data architecture.
- Knowledge of vector databases and data orchestration.
- Experience with application integration and embedded AI architecture.
- Technical vendor evaluation and AI strategy experience.
- Strong collaboration and cross‑functional partnership skills.
- Ability to set clear objectives, design inspiring strategies, and deliver high‑quality results.
