As a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Notre Dame, you will work closely with curators on your research, cataloguing nearly 10,000 photographs. Your expertise will aid in improving existing records and contribute to the development of a new Works on Paper Study Room. You will engage with faculty and students while gaining valuable insights into museum practices.
Key Responsibilities:
• Examine and describe media; update attributions
• Compile bibliographies and exhibition histories
• Update records in collections management database
• Conduct in-depth research on selected works
• Assist in preparing collections for a new study room
Requirements:
• PhD in art history within the last five years
• Reading knowledge of two European languages
• Familiarity with archival research and collections
• Solid communication skills
• Enthusiasm for a curatorial career in museums
