Enhance community facilities with the City of Mission as a full time Facilities Operations Technician. This role encompasses ice maintenance, pool operations, and hands-on customer interaction.
As part of the Parks, Recreation & Culture department, you will engage in various operational tasks, including maintaining HVAC systems, ensuring public health and safety, and supporting community activities. Your work will directly affect the enjoyment and safety of the public using the leisure centre facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Operate and maintain essential building systems
• Monitor ice-making and arena operations
• Conduct routine cleaning and maintenance of public areas
• Setup facilities for community events and meetings
• Provide customer service to diverse user groups
Requirements:
• Grade 12 graduation or equivalent
• At least two years of relevant experience
• Required certifications in refrigeration and pool operation
• Valid BC Driver’s Licence
• Strong commitment to safety and service
