Position Description

As we continue to expand our portfolio of vertical market software businesses, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to join our team as Managing Director. Reporting directly to one of our Investment Partners, the Managing Director will be responsible for managing and growing their businesses, with full ownership and accountability for the business. The ideal candidate will be a strategic leader capable of driving operational excellence, organic growth and profitability, while fostering collaboration across teams to ensure the successful execution of business strategies.

Key Responsibilities

Business Strategy and Operations

- Execute within our operating model based on four pillars: strategy and positioning, operational excellence, growth, and product strategy and technology.
- Identify, define and execute strategies required to achieve growth plans and operating objectives, with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Drive operational efficiency and excellence and enhance scalability across your portfolio of businesses to optimize performance and maximize profitability.




- Drive revenue growth by identifying and supporting new opportunities and growth strategies, including cross‑selling and penetrating new markets.
- Drive initiatives and solve challenges related to sales, customer success and research and development within your portfolio of businesses.
- Prioritise customer satisfaction and retention by ensuring strong solutions, service delivery and customer support within your portfolio companies.
- Ensure your portfolio companies have explicit product roadmaps established and executed on, balancing investments in research and development with maintenance to maximise new customer growth while retaining existing customers.
- Oversee the development and execution of comprehensive product strategies aligned with market trends and the business objectives of the companies in your portfolio.

Financial Management

- Assume P&L; responsibility and focus on achieving key financial metrics related to revenue, ROI, EBITDA, customer retention and more.
- Manage capital allocation and ensure efficient financial management of your portfolio companies, on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis.

Building Effective Teams

- Build, coach and lead high‑performing teams within your portfolio companies.
- Cultivate a culture of performance, continuous improvement,



collaboration and innovation.
- Provide clear direction and motivate teams toward achieving key milestones and delivering measurable results.

Candidate Profile

Experience

- 6+ years’ experience in management consulting and/or experience in a technology or software business.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, engineering, economics or any other relevant field.
- Master of Business Administration (MBA) – a strong asset.
- Relevant experience as a business operations leader with a commercial, customer‑centric and continuous improvement mindset.
- Experience in one or more of the following areas: sales (customer acquisition, market penetration), customer service (support and professional services), product development (research and development) – an asset.
- Financial acumen – P&L; management, budgeting and forecasting.
- People‑centric leader with experience successfully building, leading, developing and mentoring a high‑performing team.
- Experience mobilising people toward a common goal.
- Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to translate vision into actionable plans and drive results.
