Through our robust product engineering, outstanding tooling capabilities and diverse process expertise, we continue to bring lightweight and innovative products to market.Job Responsibilities:Job Responsibilities:Salary Range: $22.40 - $37.41 per hour (depending on completed hours)Perform all job functions in a secure and healthful manner, abiding by all health, safety and environmental rules and regulations, promoting safety in the workplaceReport all accidents/incidents and unsafe conditions/behaviorConduct business in an ethical manner in compliance with the Magna Code of ConductAdhere to applicable quality systems, IATF16949 standards, ISO14001 awareness and adherenceAdhere to and promote the Employee Charter and work within the rules, regulations and guidelines of the Deco Employee HandbookInitiate and embrace company changeComply and participate with the Company’s Continuous Improvement program.Maintain work area in accordance with the principles of 5S and operate daily within these standardsPerform other duties as required Perform all duties in a safe manner in accordance with Section 28 of the Occupational Health & Safety Act and Regulations for Industrial Establishments.Other Tasks:Support and work with Tool & Die MakersMaintain a suitable grade point average while attending schoolRegularly purchase or obtain the required tools and equipment to do the jobTo maintain a safe and neat work environmentFollow instructions, written and verbal from Tool MakersAttend any training courses deemed suitable by the Toolroom SupervisorCommitment to continuous improvement and workplace safety.Skills and Competencies:Possesses proven organization and leadership skillsProven skills at trouble shooting tool and die, in a production environmentWorks effectively with minimal supervisionAble to work under pressure, meet deadlines on a timely basisAbility to maintain confidentiality when working with information, files and records that are confidential and must not be divulged without the consent of managementUses teamwork skills to work co-operatively with all departments as well as fellow employeesConsistently uses strong attention to detail and judgment skills when making decisions related to the tooling process, quality and the observance of personnel.Works outside of assigned shift hours when necessaryJob Requirements:Grade 12 education or equivalent and work experienceBasic blueprint readingMinimum one year machining experienceSelf-MotivatedGeneral knowledge of shop safety practicesPhysically capable of performing the essential duties of the jobA working knowledge (written & verbal) or both English and Mathematics,Proficient in the use of measuring tools as well as basic Toolroom equipmentMust be able to work all 3 shifts.Awareness, Unity, Empowerment:At Magna, we believe that a diverse workforce is critical to our success.
