Come help build the future, where our work makes the world work!DispatcherBowmanville, ONSUMMARYReporting into the Regional Director, the Dispatcher is responsible for the coordination of truck and equipment dispatching orders to ensure maximum efficiency of trucking and utilization of equipment.PRIMARY SCOPE OF ROLEFleet Operations & SchedulingDispatch hired trucks, company owned trucks, equipment, floats to various sitesCoordinates with other Dispatchers on trucking and equipment operations and needsMaintain annual and single trip permits for oversize vehicles and/or overweight loadsStakeholder Collaboration & SupportCollaborate with operations managers, superintendents, forepersons and others to ensure resources are distributed accordingly; attend weekly meetingsHelps with questions from field staffHandles any disputes pertaining to hired brokers rental ticketsAdministration, Finance & SafetyMaintains accurate records of daily requirementsPerforms other administrative duties as assignedHelp with haul rates when requiredInquiring and assisting with annual trucking rental ratesMaintain small tools and safety suppliesDemonstrates a commitment to communicating, improving, and adhering to safety policies in all work environments and areas.POSITION REQUIREMENTS2+ years of experience in the construction industry dispatching trucks and equipmentExperience in trucking or in an industrial yard environment.Knowledge of CVOR rules & regulationsA high school diplomaDriver’s licence and ability to travel to different company sites.Strong Organizational Skills with demonstrated ability to balance multiple priorities, ensuring timely and accurate completion of tasks while maintaining composure under pressureProficiency with computer applications.Basic math skills.Results-driven with an ability to deliver success in a fast-paced setting.Outcome focused,
