The City of Barrie is hiring a part-time Horticulture Labourer to assist in greenhouse operations under the Horticulture Foreperson. In this role, you will help with garden upkeep, perform physical tasks, and engage with the vibrant community through horticultural activities. Ideal candidates should be prepared for varying hours and weekend work to support the city's operations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist with horticultural duties in the City’s greenhouse
• Maintain gardens and landscaping across parks
• Perform physical tasks such as planting and digging




• Work independently with minimal supervision
• Support the Grower and Gardener teams
Requirements:
• Secondary School Diploma required
• One year of part-time or six months full time horticultural experience
• General knowledge of greenhouse operations
• Valid Ontario Class “G” Driver’s Licence required
• Ability to lift up to 22 kg regularly
