Join Southbridge Care Homes as a Cook, delivering quality meals for residents. This role involves preparing a variety of dishes and ensuring food safety standards are met.
Reporting to the Food Service Manager, your main duties will encompass meal preparation, menu management, and overseeing food supply quality. You will also provide direction to Dietary Aides and take charge during the Dietary Manager's absence. All efforts are aimed at enhancing the resident experience in our care homes located across Ontario.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare diverse meals according to prescribed diets and recipes
• Implement menu changes and document appropriately
• Monitor the quality of food supplies and equipment
• Supervise Dietary Aides during meal service
• Keep detailed records of all food service activities
Requirements:
• Chef training or culinary diploma preferred
• Prior experience in large quantity cooking beneficial
• Solid command of English for communication
• Commitment to safety practices in the kitchen
• Compliance with a negative vulnerable sector check
