Become a vital part of Lookout Housing and Health Society as a Janitor Maintenance Worker in Courtenay, BC. Ensure the cleanliness and functionality of the premises with hands-on maintenance and janitorial duties.
This full-time, permanent role reports to the Site Manager and follows the mission and ethics of Lookout. You will perform essential janitorial work and maintain building functionality, including plumbing and electrical systems. Successful candidates will complete respirator fit testing and follow WorkSafeBC health and safety protocols for a protected work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Sweep, wash, and wax floors regularly
• Manage garbage disposal and recycling procedures
• Oversee building equipment and maintenance




• Conduct repairs and upkeep of suites
• Assist staff and supervise volunteers effectively
Requirements:
• Grade 12 education with two years’ experience
• Building Service Worker Diploma is ideal
• Current Occupational First Aid Level 1 Certificate
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Criminal Record clearance for Vulnerable Sector
