This permanent part time position offers a 0.50 FTE commitment with Monday to Friday 7.5-hour shifts. You will be responsible for working under physician guidance and collaborating with nurses and therapists. Your role includes caring for clients through casting, dressing changes, and fitting orthopaedic devices, all while prioritizing patient education and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform casting services in a clinic setting
• Assist in the maintenance and adjustment of traction
• Educate patients and families about care procedures
• Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary healthcare team
• Maintain inventory of orthopaedic supplies
Requirements:
• Completion of a recognized Orthopaedic Technologist Program
• Comprehensive knowledge of anatomy and casting techniques
• Prior experience with electronic medical records
• Excellent attendance and work history
• Familiarity with aseptic techniques in care
