AGT Foods is looking for a Health and Safety Manager to join our Regina Head Office - Canada Corporate Safety Team.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

- Manage the implementation of Safety Programs and ensure all legislative and regulatory requirements are met.
- Provide safety leadership to all safety reps, committees, management and employees and other affected groups in the implementation of safety programs.
- Lead investigations into accidents, injuries, or near-misses.
- Research and make recommendations for fostering safety culture.
- Perform routine inspections and audits of workplaces in Canada.
- Evaluate practices, procedures, equipment and facilities to assess risk and adherence to the law propose budget allocations to locations/equipment based on safety risk.
- Create and present safety communications that foster an awareness of health and safety practices (bulletins, webinars, events, summits and meetings).
- Prepare safety analytics (KPIs, Occurrence Stats etc).




- Any other duties required from time to time or as requested by management to help foster safety culture and compliance within the company.

Skills and abilities - The successful candidate must have:

- Industry credentials such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Occupational Health and Safety (OHST) preferred.
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of hands-on safety management experience.
- Competency in identifying risk and conducting risk-based decision making.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to affect positive behavior in others.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Solid presentation skills.
- Ability to travel within Canada (Quebec, Ontario, Saskatchewan, Manitoba and Alberta).
- Computer literacy, particularly with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel.
