Dalhousie University is seeking a Part time Academic to teach Research Methods in Cognitive Neuroscience. This role focuses on lab content delivery, assessment preparation, and student engagement during Fall 2026.
The successful applicant will oversee a 3000-level lab course that includes neuroimaging techniques such as fMRI and ERP. Responsibilities involve developing lectures, lab activities, assessments, and providing timely support to approximately 20 students. Collaborating with a teaching assistant, the instructor will maintain course content on Brightspace and grade submissions effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and deliver 12 weeks of course content
• Prepare assessments and provide timely feedback
• Offer 2 hours weekly for student consultation
• Maintain student grades in Brightspace
• Facilitate deferred finals as necessary
Requirements:
• Graduate degree in Psychology or Neuroscience
• Demonstrated teaching effectiveness
• Research experience in cognitive neuroscience
• Familiarity with Brightspace is an asset
• Include teaching evaluations with application
