In this full-time permanent role, you'll be responsible for accurately processing laboratory specimens and supporting the LHSC team members. Expertise in phlebotomy and a strong customer focus are essential. This position requires dedication to maintaining high standards while ensuring compliance with quality indicators and protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
• Process blood samples and other lab specimens efficiently
• Enter data accurately for Ministry of Health requisitions
• Sort and route specimens to analytical departments
• Maintain confidentiality of all patient information
• Ensure compliance with SOPs and quality metrics
Requirements:
• CSMLS or BCSLS certification preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline or MLA certified
• At least 1 year of specimen processing experience
• Solid communication skills in English
• Detail-oriented and self-managing
