Focused on individuals with mental health and addiction recovery knowledge, the Peer Support Worker is a 20-hour per week onsite position. You will offer guidance, attend appointments, and facilitate group sessions for clients, helping them navigate their recovery journeys while fostering safety and wellness within the community.
Key Responsibilities:
• Accompany clients to appointments and assist with resource access
• Promote independence and recovery through supportive relationships
• Co-facilitate recovery-focused mental health groups
• Collaborate with staff and community partners for coordinated care
• Maintain a clean and welcoming program workplace
Requirements:
• Completion of Peer Support Training or related certification
• Solid understanding of community support systems
• Proven experience in peer support principles
• Excellent interpersonal and conflict-resolution skills
• Adaptable and able to respond to client needs
