PRIMARY SCOPE OF ROLE

1. Estimating & Tender Preparation
- Interpret drawings and specifications accurately
- Perform quantity take-offs
- Formulate labour, material, and equipment costs
- Procure subcontractor scope and costs
- Review and analyze sub-proposals
- Close tenders and ensure submission accuracy
- Secure bid bonds and insurance requests
- Maintain active tender files and correspondence

- Project Controls & Operations Support

- Prepare initial project handoff schedules
- Cost out scope changes and claims
- Monitor active projects for cost evaluation
- Provide technical support to field staff
- Maintain ongoing communication with clients and field staff

- Departmental Growth & Client Relations

- Follow up with customers on submitted proposals
- Maintain department policies and standards
- Mentor junior team members
- Handle other duties as assigned

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

- University Degree – Civil Engineering or College Graduate – Civil Technology preferred.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in the construction industry.
- Experience using a commercial bidding platform (InEight Estimate preferable)
- Capable of reading and understanding construction drawings and documents.
- Experience with MTO contracts and/or municipal works.
- Thorough understanding of OPSS and CDED.
- Computer proficiency – proficiency in an estimating package is a must; proficiency in MS Office programs (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams) would be an asset.
- Results-driven with an ability to deliver success in a fast-paced setting.
- Outcome focused, critical thinker with the ability to analyze and visualize to ensure continuous improvement across our business.
- Ability to connect and interact with people to seek different perspectives.

WHAT WE OFFER

- Expected Base Salary: $75.000 – $105,000 per year.




- The actual base salary will depend on several factors including experience, qualifications, internal equity, work location and market expectations.
