Join DESC as a Substance Use Disorder Professional Trainee in Washington. This role focuses on integrating behavioral health services for clients with substance use and mental health challenges.

As a Substance Use Disorder Professional Trainee at DESC, you will collaborate with a dedicated team to support individuals facing substance abuse issues. Training under a licensed professional, you will assess clients, develop treatment plans, and facilitate support groups. Your expertise will assist in linking clients to necessary resources, focusing on a person-centered care approach to foster lasting change.

Key Responsibilities:



• Conduct alcohol and drug assessments on clients • Develop support and treatment plans collaboratively • Facilitate treatment and support groups for clients • Provide substance abuse consultation to staff • Advocate for clients' access to community resources

Requirements: • WA State SUDP or SUDPT license in positive standing • Enrolled in an educational program for SUDP licensure • Valid WA State driver's license • Effective communication skills with diverse individuals • Commitment to client care and respect
