Become a Casual Part Time Crisis Intervention Worker with Dufferin Child and Family Services. Provide critical after-hours support for youth facing mental health challenges and child protection issues in a flexible schedule.
This role requires an innovative and independent individual to respond to urgent after-hours crisis cases. You will provide essential mental health interventions and consultations, manage emergency calls, and document your findings and actions for the agency. This position offers part-time, evening, and weekend hours with opportunities to expand your skills in crisis management and child protection.
Key Responsibilities:
• Respond to emergency calls for mental health crises
• Deliver child protection intervention at urgent times
• Familiarize yourself with agency standards and policies
• Fill out CPIN reports and reliable occurrence reports
• Complete written reports of all activities during shifts
Requirements:
• Authorized Child Protection Worker status
• Minimum education in social services, preferably BSW
• Proven experience in crisis evaluation and child protection
• Ability to handle stress and work independently
• Valid Ontario Driver’s License and access to vehicle
