Join North Eastern Ontario Family and Children’s Services as a full-time Investigation and Assessment Worker in Kirkland Lake. This role focuses on providing essential children’s services, including risk assessments and developing protection plans.
In this position, you will play a key role in the Investigation, Assessment and Ongoing team. Your responsibilities involve providing preventative and child protection services to families, ensuring compliance with legislative requirements, and documenting necessary assessments. Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills are essential for connecting with children, youth, and families.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide a broad spectrum of children’s services
• Conduct risk assessments and develop protection plans
• Document necessary reports for disposition determinations
• Travel as required for service delivery
• Work flexible hours to meet family needs
Requirements:
• MSW or BSW preferred; relevant experience an asset
• Robust communication and organizational skills
• Willingness to travel and work flexible hours
• G2 license required; obtain G Class license
• Bilingualism in English/French is an asset
