Join the Vancouver Harbour Light team as a Men’s Treatment Intake Counsellor. Provide vital support for clients during their intake process in a community-driven environment.
In this full time temporary role, you will manage the intake and counselling processes for the Men's Treatment program. Responsibilities include screening potential clients, maintaining accurate documentation, and supporting casework related to relapse prevention and discharge planning. Your efforts will directly impact clients' journeys through initial recovery phases.
Key Responsibilities:
• Interview and assess prospective clients thoroughly
• Facilitate recovery activities and provide counselling
• Maintain accurate client records and documentation




• Coordinate with external agencies for client needs
• Assist in organizing program events and activities
Requirements:
• Two years of community college in counselling or social work
• Prior experience in substance use recovery settings
• Familiarity with trauma-informed practices
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to navigate challenging environments
Foster client connections and promote recovery through your dedicated support.
