About the Role

The Company is seeking a Managing Director for Commercial Initiatives with a focus on post-trade market modernization. The successful candidate will be a strategic leader responsible for driving the execution of complex, high-impact market modernization initiatives, particularly in the areas of fixed income, derivatives, and repo markets. This role requires a proven capital markets expert with a deep understanding of the Canadian capital markets and established relationships with key industry stakeholders. The Managing Director will be instrumental in optimizing and aligning the post-trade delivery strategy, with a special emphasis on the Canadian Collateral Management Service and Repo 2.0. Key responsibilities include program delivery, stakeholder coordination,



and optimization, as well as providing strategic initiative leadership and central bank coordination.

Applicants must have a minimum of 15 years' of progressive leadership experience in fixed income markets, with a specific focus on the repo market and clearing markets. The role demands a candidate with a Bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics, or a related technical discipline, and an exceptional track record in people leadership and matrix leadership. The ideal candidate will have a strong commercial background, with experience in engaging with buy-side and sell-side firms to address complex operational and regulatory needs. While not mandatory, regulatory experience and advanced credentials such as an MBA, CFA, or advanced degree in project/program management are highly desirable. The role is suited to a professional who is adept at challenging the status quo, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, and is a trusted adviser with a focus on employee engagement and development.
