Our financial services client is seeking a Senior Business Systems Analyst IV (8+ years of experience) to translate business requirements into technical solutions using Mainframe, Scaled Agile, Behavior Driven Development, Jira, and Confluence

Join a team-oriented Agile pod supporting critical account-based Mainframe systems within a large banking workplace. This role focuses on delivering modernization, optimization, and compliance remediation initiatives while partnering closely with Product Owners, Architects, Software Engineers, and Quality Engineers. The position offers exposure to new AI initiatives and long-term project potential within a fast-paced technology environment.

Must Haves

- 8+ years in Business Systems Analysis , Software Engineering , or Quality Engineering
- Hands-on experience maintaining and inquiring data on Mainframe screens
- Behavior Driven Development for writing JIRA user stories with Confluence




- Testing and gap analysis ; Post secondary diploma or degree is an asset

Nice to Have

- API and Postman experience
- Microsoft 365 Copilot or GitHub Copilot experience
- Previous banking or financial services experience
- Business Analyst certifications

Responsibilities

- Translate business needs into technical concepts for technical teams and stakeholders
- Create detailed functional specifications from business and non-functional requirements
- Write JIRA user stories using Behavior Driven Development methodology
- Collaborate with Journey partners, Product Owners, Architects, Software Engineers, and Quality Engineers
- Support testing activities by translating requirements and use cases into test conditions and expected results
- Manage traceability of system requirements through design, development, testing, and deployment
- Support implementation and post-implementation activities for technology initiatives
