The Cook will need to understand the unique physical and emotional demands of working in elder care, while demonstrating respect toward residents and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare nutritious meals for residents daily
• Maintain food safety and hygiene standards
• Assist in developing meal plans for dietary needs
• Collaborate with the kitchen team effectively
• Lift items weighing up to 35lbs as necessary
Requirements:
• Culinary Management Diploma or Chef Training Graduate
• Food Safety Certification is required
• Red Seal designation is an asset
• Understanding of therapeutic diets preferred
• Familiarity with long-term care regulations
