Combining a deep systems knowledge to develop unique vehicle access experiences, intelligent visions systems and advanced automotive lighting technologies, MML's expertise light the path to innovation, safety and styling.Job Responsibilities:Diagnose and remedy any electrical trouble in the plantsKeep electrical hardware such as motors, switchboards, and other electrical mechanisms in good repair.Perform preventative maintenance (PM) schedules as requiredTrouble shoot and program machinery using various P.L.C. formatsWork with Maintenance Mechanics / Millwrights in a trouble-shooting capacityComplete all check sheets and records as relates to the electrician functionInstruct maintenance apprentice in trade related tasks and skillsModify machinery and equipment and overhaul machines as directedPrepares and distributes machine reports and downtime reportsSuggest preventative measures to minimize or eliminate breakdownsAssist in the installation and commissioning of equipmentResponsible for electrical installations of new equipment, and re-siting of equipment as per electrical codeWork in a competent manner and always follow the current Ontario Electrical CodeServe as a member of the Emergency Response TeamMust be aware of relevance and importance of their activities and how it effects quality and the environment for our customersPerform repairs to machinery and plant support systems with regards to hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical problemsQualifications:Completion of specialized trade courses and/or apprenticeship/certification3 to less than 5 years of work related experienceMinimum certified tradesman (industrial electrician)Minimum of 1 year directly related trade experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment, not including apprenticeshipMust have exceptional safety recordBackground in either stamping or automated assembly processes an assetFamiliarity with PLC programming is an assetPractical knowledge and experience in preventative maintenance procedures and exposure to industrial controlsStarting at $42.75Awareness, Unity, Empowerment:At Magna, we believe that a diverse workforce is critical to our success.
