Enhance the lives of at-risk youth in Toronto as a Peer Support Worker at Covenant House. This full time role focuses on mentorship, life skills, and community resource navigation.
Covenant House is dedicated to serving young individuals through its Residential Services Programs. As a Peer Support Worker, you'll engage with youth, facilitating their personal development and helping them achieve their goals. With a strong focus on relationship-building and advocacy, you will make a significant impact in their lives while contributing to program improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
• Engage youth in various service programs
• Build trusting relationships through mentorship
• Identify and connect youth with community resources
• Facilitate life skills workshops and activities
• Document interactions and complete necessary reporting
Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Lived expertise in relevant areas like homelessness
• Knowledge of available community supports
• Strong communication and documentation skills
• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends
