The City of Woodstock is looking for an experienced Health & Safety Coordinator for a 16-month contract. Reporting to the Manager of Health & Safety, your expertise will help improve workplace safety through training, program auditing, and compliance with regulations. This position requires a robust background in occupational health and safety practices and effective communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and facilitate health and safety training sessions
• Auditing and improving safety programs according to regulations
• Monitor and evaluate corporate health and safety policies
• Investigate workplace accidents and recommend corrective actions
• Conduct occupational hygiene testing as needed
Requirements:
• Degree or diploma in Occupational Health & Safety
• Minimum 3 years of health and safety experience
• Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Valid Ontario driver's license with personal vehicle access
