Main Activities
- The Supervisor is responsible for administrative and executive tasks, overseeing staff, and daily operations of programs to ensure the highest quality services.
HR related functions and duties
- Education development, training, supervision of staff
- Ongoing employee evaluation to support care excellence
- Assist with creation and implementation of work standards and policy and procedures
- Support OH&S; initiatives and ensure ongoing workplace safety
- Generate and organize schedules, provide on call support, fulfil staffing requirements as needed
- Order inventory, ensure resources such as food, equipment and medications are available
Qualifications
- Exceptional time management, with ability to prioritize and carry out work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong conflict resolution,
organizational and interpersonal skills, critical thinking, exceptional problem-solving ability
- Willingness to adapt to new concepts, techniques, and best practices in the academic and clinical fields of HIV, chronic disease management, addictions, harm reduction and trauma informed care
- Ability to communicate and be assertive while maintaining an effective working relationship with staff and clients
- Cultural sensitivity to Indigenous issues
- HR experience, payroll functions are an asset
- Computer proficiency
- Ability to work flexible shifts including evenings, nights and weekends. Part Time Position.
- Preference given to those who have experience managing operations in health/ social related field
- CPR/First Aid/Food safety & WHIMIS certificate/Knowledge of TLR, up to date immunizations
- Post secondary education or equivalent.
