The Donor Support & Receivables Specialist manages the accurate processing, recording, and acknowledgement of all incoming donations. This role combines donor relations, financial administration, and operational support to ensure every contribution is processed efficiently, tax receipts are issued accurately and promptly, and donors receive exceptional service.

As part of the administrative team, the position also assists with Hope for Wildlife's wildlife hotline by responding to incoming calls and supports the coordination of the organization's volunteer program, helping ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of the organization.

Key responsibilities include:

- Managing donor communications and responding to donation-related inquiries.
- Processing donations, issuing tax receipts, and maintaining accurate donor records.
- Supporting donor stewardship through acknowledgements, thank-you communications, and relationship management.
- Monitoring and tracking donations received through various platforms and payment methods.
- Preparing and completing bank deposits and handling donation-related documentation.
- Answering Hope for Wildlife's hotline,



providing guidance to the public on various situations, and posting dispatch requests to the rescue team (training provided).
- Providing general administrative support to assist with organizational operations.

Qualifications:

- Experience with accounting software and receivables processes is required (familiarity with Sage 50 is preferred).
- Solid attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with donors, volunteers, and members of the public.
- Existing knowledge of Nova Scotia's local wildlife is an asset, however, training will be provided on specific hotline procedures, volunteer coordination processes, and organizational systems.

Must currently be located in the local area and able to work on-site at Hope for Wildlife's facility in Seaforth, NS.

Hours and compensation to be determined based on experience and qualifications.
