Take charge as a Unit Supervisor with New Directions in Winnipeg, MB, contributing to supported cluster housing for individuals with disabilities. Oversee daily operations while fostering relationships and supporting a dedicated team.
New Directions is seeking a full-time Unit Supervisor to manage community cluster apartment operations. You will lead Direct Support Workers, provide essential support to residents, and ensure effective service delivery. Engaging with individuals facing mental health issues is key, and you will handle various responsibilities while promoting a collaborative work culture.
Key Responsibilities:
• Foster positive relationships with residents and their supports
• Lead and supervise a team of Direct Support Workers
• Provide direct support to individuals and address programming needs




• Maintain administration and documentation standards
• Manage financial concerns specific to individual needs
Requirements:
• Post-secondary education in social services field
• Minimum 5 years in direct service roles, with supervisory experience preferred
• Knowledge of decision-making and crisis management
• Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle
• Current First Aid/CPR and Non-Violent Crisis Intervention certification
