Position Available: Registered Practical Nurse

Status: Regular Part Time (0.2 FTE) - t his position falls under the Part time Collective Agreement.

Department: Surgery - Pre-Admission Clinic

Shifts: Days, Evenings, Nights, Weekends, Extended Tours

Rate of Pay: $37.15/hr - $39.02/hr

Qualifications:

- Current Certificate of Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario as a Registered Practical Nurse.
- Current BLS certification (Level C).




- Current or recent (in the last 2 years) experience in surgical nursing is required.
- Recent Pre op Planning experience (in the last 6 months) will be preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to read and interpret appropriate diagnostic tests.
- Demonstrated skill and knowledge of I.V. Therapy and venepuncture is required.
- Demonstrated effective communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to function effectively in a multidisciplinary team and independently.
- Demonstrated effective communication skills.
- Demonstrated reliable attendance, punctuality and availability are required.
