The Municipality of the County of Victoria is hiring a Maintenance Assistant based out of the Baddeck Waste Management Facility.
This position is responsible for maintaining municipal buildings, facilities, and properties in a protected, clean, and presentable condition. Reporting to and working alongside the Maintenance Attendant, the incumbent will perform general maintenance duties and operate a variety of small-engine equipment, including lawn mowers, weed trimmers, and snow removal equipment, to support the Municipality’s operations.
Term: Full-time; permanent; unionized
Hours : 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday
Rate: $21.63 per hour as per the collective agreement

Qualifications:
- Valid Nova Scotia Class 5 driver’s license is considered an asset
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a related field or position
- Trade school or equivalent training is considered an asset
