Thurber is seeking an Intermediate Pavement Engineer to enhance our Ottawa team. This role requires at least 4 years of experience in pavement engineering and a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering. You’ll be responsible for supervising site investigations, preparing technical reports, and performing pavement analysis using industry-standard software.
Key Responsibilities:
• Coordinate subsurface investigations and condition surveys
• Oversee field inspections during construction projects
• Prepare technical specifications and pavement design reports
• Perform pavement engineering analyses using software tools
• Supervise and mentor junior engineers and technicians
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
• Minimum of 4 years experience in pavement engineering
• Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation
• Familiarity with FWD testing and GPR interpretation
• Solid analytical and project management skills
