Elevate your engineering career as a Utility Engineer-in-Training at Extropic Energy. Located in Red Deer, Airdrie, or Saskatoon, this role focuses on electrical utility and distribution design work.
Extropic Energy is expanding its electrical team and is looking for someone with a solid foundation in utility design. With at least three years of engineering experience, including two years in electrical utility work and distribution design, you will take on real project responsibilities from day one. Collaborate closely with senior engineers to grow your skills toward a full P.Eng. designation.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design utility systems for electrical distribution projects
• Conduct load forecasting and power system planning




• Collaborate on renewable energy integration projects
• Participate in asset management and planning of substations
• Actively engage with senior engineers for qualified growth
Requirements:
• Minimum 3 years of overall engineering experience
• At least 2 years in electrical utility work
• Active EIT registration with APEGA or APEGS
• Familiarity with power/fault flow modeling software
• Experience with renewable power projects is a plus
