Light Duty Equipment Technician (15387)

I AM GOLD, a Canadian-based gold mining company operating across North America and West Africa, looks for a Light Duty Equipment Technician to inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain light vehicles for safe and efficient operation. The role requires strong mechanical knowledge, attention to detail, and use of safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

- Perform routine inspections and diagnose mechanical and electrical issues using diagnostic tools.
- Assess the condition of key vehicle systems, including engines, brakes, transmissions, steering, suspension, and electrical components.
- Perform repairs on light‑duty vehicles following manufacturer specifications.
- Complete routine maintenance tasks such as oil and filter changes, brake servicing, and tire rotation.
- Replace worn or defective components including belts, hoses, batteries, and spark plugs.
- Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance to reduce breakdowns and ensure safety and performance standards are met.
- Follow all workplace health and safety procedures while properly using and maintaining tools and equipment.
- Accurately document completed work, parts used, and report major faults or safety concerns.

Key Skills & Knowledge

- College diploma in Automotive Service Technician or a related field.
- Certificate of Qualification in Ontario.
- A minimum of 5 years of related work experience.
- Previous experience in open pit mining is considered an asset.

Salary Range: $89,000 - $133,500+ Bonus. The final offer is determined based on your individual skills, qualifications, and competencies and aligned with our commitment to internal equity.
