Become a Stewardship Coordinator with the Nature Conservancy of Canada, leading conservation efforts across BC's Interior. Focus on stewardship actions, monitoring, and community engagement for a sustainable environment.
This full-time, 15-month contract role, based in Kamloops, requires expertise in land management and collaboration with Indigenous nations and local communities. With your solid relationship-building skills, you will coordinate stewardship activities on NCC conservation lands, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and contributing to landscape planning.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead stewardship and monitoring on conservation lands
• Coordinate invasive species and restoration management plans
• Monitor conservation covenants and track land usage
• Build relationships with Indigenous communities and landowners
• Support community engagement events and represent NCC
Requirements:
• Degree in environmental science or related field
• Experience with conservation or stewardship projects
• Strong project management and communication skills
• Knowledge of BC's Interior landscapes and conservation issues
• Valid Class 5 driver’s license
Drive impactful conservation work and foster community partnerships with the Nature Conservancy in BC.
