As part of a dedicated team, you will provide essential support to women and gender diverse residents, applying your expertise in trauma-informed care and crisis intervention. Your role includes implementing effective strategies for mental health issues and ensuring the overall safety of the shelter environment while managing on-call responsibilities. You will also develop and evaluate workshops to address client needs.
Key Responsibilities:
• Apply knowledge of trauma dynamics in support strategies
• Provide comprehensive daily support and services




• Conduct safety assessments and develop crisis plans
• Advocate for clients and facilitate referrals
• Compile reports and record program statistics
Requirements:
• Supervised undergraduate degree in social work or equivalent
• 3-5 years of experience in counseling at-risk populations
• Completion of relevant mental health and anti-oppressive workshops
• Demonstrated experience in workshop development and delivery
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
