Join PLEA Community Services as a Regular Full-Time Youth Support Worker in Surrey, BC. This role focuses on engaging high-risk youth, guiding them towards a safer and healthier path.
The Youth Support Worker will work with a diverse team to implement tailored strategies addressing the needs of youth with complex care requirements. Your role will involve direct supervision and support, enabling youth to improve behaviors and develop skills in a caring and engaging environment. Demonstrated skills in conflict management and community resources are essential to succeed.
Key Responsibilities:
• Collaborate on service plans with team and caregivers
• Provide close supervision and community support
• Implement behavior management strategies
• Foster positive relationships with youth and families
• Keep accurate records and reports
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in social sciences or human services
• Minimum one year of relevant experience
• Familiarity with youth care legislation
• Basic First Aid certification or willingness to acquire
• Valid BC Driver’s License and vehicle access
