Help individuals thrive as a Direct Support Worker with the Developmental Disabilities Association in Vancouver. This casual, on-call position involves working overnight shifts.
We're looking for both recent graduates and seasoned professionals to join DDA, which offers over 50 community-based programs. In this role, you will provide essential support that allows residents to reach their potential while ensuring a nurturing environment. Effective teamwork and communication with family and health professionals are key aspects of this position.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist residents with life skills development
• Maintain a protected and positive living environment
• Foster communication among team members and families
• Execute complex behaviour support programs
• Engage in ongoing training and community involvement
Requirements:
• Diploma or Certificate in an approved Health Care program
• Minimum 1–2 years working with clients with disabilities
• Experience in crisis intervention is beneficial
• Valid First Aid/CPR Certification
• Criminal and medical clearances required
