Make a difference in Kingston as a Behavioural Specialist focusing on rehabilitation for adults with serious mental illness. This temporary full-time role supports clients through evidence-based behavioural plans.
As a Behavioural Specialist under the Clinical Program Manager at CI Housing, you will collaborate within an inter-qualified team. Utilizing learning and behaviour therapy principles, you will assess, develop, and implement effective behavioural intervention strategies. Your efforts will enhance client support through treatment planning, counseling, and follow-up services in a community setting that operates 24/7.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assess client needs and develop tailored behavioural plans
• Implement intervention strategies based on best practices
• Provide supportive counseling and treatment planning
• Collaborate with the team for effective client care
• Facilitate community integration and transportation support
Requirements:
• University Degree in a health-related discipline
• Minimum three years’ experience in mental health services
• Certification in First Aid and CPR (asset)
• Knowledge of community support practices
• Valid Ontario Driver’s License with vehicle access
